April Kondrat

Director of Orchestras

Mrs. Kondrat is in her fourth year at Plano Senior High School, but has been in the cluster for nine years. She is a violist and serves as the Principal Violist in the Plano Symphony Orchestra. Mrs. Kondrat has a Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance from the Eastman School of Music and a Master of Music in Viola Performance from the University of Northern Colorado. She is an active member of ASTA and TMEA.

Mrs. Kondrat has three kids and four dogs and is an avid runner. She is thrilled to work with everyone in person this year and excited to start new traditions at Plano Senior High School.

Raquel Rodriguez

Assistant Orchestra Director

Ms. Rodriguez is currently the Assistant Orchestra Director at Plano Senior High School. With flute as her primary instrument and cello as her secondary, she received a Bachelor of Music Education with a string emphasis at the University of Texas at Arlington.

At UTA, Ms. Rodriguez played in many ensembles including the UTA Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Ensemble. She is currently an active member of TMEA, TODA, and plays in the New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving.

In her free time, Ms. Rodriguez likes to stay active, relax at home, or find new hobbies when she is not working.
